Types of Sod

  • Bermuda Sod

Bermuda sod is a type of grass that is commonly used in warm climates. It is characterized by its short, dense blades of grass. Bermuda sod is also known for its ability to withstand high traffic and withstand drought conditions. In addition, Bermuda sod is easy to care for and does not require a lot of maintenance. As a result, it is a popular choice for homeowners who want a low-maintenance lawn.

  • Centipede Sod

Centipede grass is a warm-season turfgrass known for its low maintenance requirements and its ability to tolerate heat and drought. Centipede grass has a light green color and a creeping growth habit. It forms a dense, fine-textured lawn that is resistant to pests and diseases. One of the most unique features of centipede grass is its lack of above-ground stems. This makes centipede grass less likely to form thatch.

  • El Toro Zoysia Sod

El Toro zoysia is a type of grass that is popular for its dense, green foliage. It is a slow-growing grass, requiring less mowing and upkeep than other types of grass. El Toro zoysia also has a high tolerance for heat and drought, making it a good choice for areas that experience hot, dry summers. In addition, El Toro zoysia is resistant to pests and diseases, making it a low-maintenance option for lawns.

  • Fescue Sod

Fescue sod is known for its dense growth habit, which helps to crowd out weeds and other unwanted plants. Fescue sod is tolerant of shade and drought, making it a low-maintenance option for homeowners. In addition, fescue sod has a deep root system that helps to hold the soil in place, preventing erosion. For these reasons, fescue sod is an ideal choice for homeowners who want a beautiful lawn with minimal effort.

  • Tiftuf Bermuda Sod

Tiftuf sod is a type of Bermuda grass that is known for its thick, dense blades. The sod is dark green in color and has a fine texture. It is a low-maintenance grass that is resistant to drought and wear-and-tear. Tiftuf sod also has a deep root system that helps to hold soil in place, making it an ideal choice for areas prone to erosion. In addition, the sod is fairly resistant to diseases and pests.

  • Zeon Zoysia Sod

Zeon zoysia is a type of grass that is known for its dense, green blades. It is relatively low-maintenance and can withstand heavy foot traffic. Zeon zoysia sod is tolerant of shade and has a high tolerance for both cold and heat, making it an ideal choice for homeowners in warmer climates. Additionally, this grass is slow-growing, which means that it requires less mowing than other types of grass.

Ground Covers, Soils & Garden Materials

Applying a three-inch layer of mulch material around your landscaping plants will help to reduce water evaporation, promote plant growth, and reduce weed growth. Keep all mulch a few inches away from tree trunks and shrubs to prevent rot and insects. Water around plant bases deeply, but less often, to encourage strong root growth. We also carry multiple soil types, amendments, and planting materials for all your gardening needs.
